Southern Pines Fire and Police Departments paused Tuesday morning to honor and reflect on the nearly 3,000 victims of 9/11.
The 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony was held in front of the fire station and concluded with a 3.43 mile memorial walk through downtown Southern Pines.
Firefighters could be seen walking in full gear carrying flags to pay their respects to those who made the ultimate sacrifice for their communities, towns, cities, and country.
