Southern Pines welcomed 2019 at the First Eve celebration with the drop of the famous pinecone.
This wonderful family event, hosted by the Southern Pines Business Association & Southern Pines Recreation & Parks, saw a great crowd show up for the festivities.
Elsa and her friends were hanging out, and Happy Dan the Magician delighted the audience with his magic tricks. The crowd danced to Toucan Jam awaiting the pinecone to drop at 8 p.m.
First Eve was sponsored by State Farm-Ward Roland, First Bank, and Penick Village. Let’s not forget Southern Pines Fire & Rescue with Ladder truck 81 that makes the pinecone drop possible.
