The Southern Pines Police Department is currently investigating a suspicious death after finding a deceased male Sunday afternoon.
Robert Glenn Davis, 65, was found deceased inside his home on Cox Street when police arrived after being dispatched at 5:11 pm.
Captain Charles Campbell said in a written statement, “While evidence at the scene indicates Mr. Davis sustained a gunshot injury, the manner and cause of Mr. Davis’ death are not definitively known at this time, and an autopsy will take place later this week.”
The Captain went on to say the investigation is “active and ongoing”, and more information will be released at a later time.
