Authorities were dispatched to a structure fire at Los Cabos Mexican restaurant in Town & Country Shopping Center in Aberdeen Friday morning at approximately 9:30. The fire had the potential to spread to the whole shopping center; however, the fire was quickly brought under control by Aberdeen Fire and Rescue Department who were the first department on the scene. The restaurant was closed at the time of the fire.
According to Aberdeen’s Fire Chief, Phillip Richardson, the fire originated in the kitchen area of the restaurant. Fire crews remained on site clearing out smoke, debris, and accessing the damage. The cause of the fire is under investigation at the time of this report.
Responding to the fire were Aberdeen Fire and Rescue Department, Southern Pines Fire and Rescue Department, Pinehurst Fire Department, Pinebluff Fire Department, and Aberdeen Police Department.
