State correctional officers and local law enforcement are seeking two minimum custody offenders who escaped from Morrison Correctional Institution in Hoffman Monday morning.

They are Josh Ashworth and Brandon McDurmon. They were last seen at breakfast in the facility between 6 and 7 a.m.

Ashworth, 18, is a white male, 5-foot-7, 137 pounds with blonde hair and blue eyes, and a thin build. He is serving a three year sentence for felony breaking and entering. He was scheduled for release on Aug. 30, 2019.

McDurmon, 22, is a white male, 5-foot-11, 163 pounds with brown hair and green eyes, and a medium build. He is serving a two year and two month sentence for possession of a firearm by a felon. He was scheduled for release on May 5, 2020. He is originally from Person County.

If you see Ashworth or McDurmon, please call the prison at 910-281-3161 or the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office. How they escaped the facility is under investigation.
