Army Gen. Robert B. “Abe” Abrams, commanding general of U.S. Army Forces Command on Fort Bragg, will leave Fort Bragg to become commander of United States Forces Korea. 

He will relinquish command to Lt. Gen. Laura J. Richardson, the FORSCOM deputy commanding general, according to a news release from Fort Bragg.

Richardson will serve as acting commander.

Gen. Mark A. Milley, the Chief of Staff of the Army, will host the ceremony at Fort Bragg Parade Field flagpole, near the Iron Mike statue traffic circle, on October 16 at 1 p.m.
