The Pinehurst Village Chapel is hosting a Thousand Eyes Wide Open community-to-action campaign event on November 3. The conference will be from 9 – 11 a.m. at the church located at 10 Azalea Road.

The purpose of the conference is to ‘equip Moore County youth and citizens with the ability to recognize and report the signs of human trafficking.’

Sheriff Neil Godfrey said in a news release, “We can have a stronger and safer communities tomorrow if we work together today to stop human trafficking.”

The community educator from Friend to Friend will lead this free seminar.  Friend to Friend’s mission is to “help survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking rebuild their lives.”
