Village announces additional yard debris services

The Village of Pinehurst has announced the opening of the Public Services yard for residents to drop off Hurricane Florence storm debris.

Pinehurst residents may drop off debris at 700 McCaskill Road East from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. Monday through Fridday, expect holidays until November 16.

“Residents are required to leave all yard debris loose in the drop off area,” said the Village of Pinehurst in a written statement.  “Nothing bagged may be left behind. Stumps or logs of any size are not accepted and neither are limbs exceeding either four feet in length or six inches in diameter.”

There is no charge for dropping off debris, and the village stated, “The yard is open to Village of Pinehurst residents only and is not open to landscapers or contractors.”

Identification for proof of residency is required for entry, and the yard is monitored by staff.
