One person was injured when a car crashed into a bank Wednesday afternoon. The accident occurred around 5 p.m. at Fidelity Bank in Aberdeen. 

The elderly female was transported by EMS to a waiting helicopter which flew her to a trauma center for more definitive treatment.

Her condition is unknown at this time. 

Johnson Street was shut down in the area of the bank and traffic was rerouted.

Aberdeen Police are investigating the cause of the accident.

No one in the bank was reported to be injured.

Responding to the scene were Aberdeen Fire & Rescue, Moore County EMS, and Aberdeen Police Department.
