A multi-agency operation has yielded the arrest of three individuals last week. Agencies assisting in the sting were Moore County Sheriff’s Department and the Carthage, Southern Pines, and Pinehurst Police Departments.

The departments executed a search warrant at a home in the 100 block of Old Glendon Road in Carthage, said Moore County Sheriff’s Office.

Three suspects were arrested after law enforcement seized 10 dosage units of crack cocaine, one gram of powder cocaine, items of drug paraphernalia and $1,850 in cash.

The total street value of the seized drugs is approximately $320 said the sheriff’s office.

Arrested were Lee Andrew Alston Jr, 45, of Clayton,  Jeffery Jermaine Mcphatter, 41, of Aberdeen and Brittany Nicole Scott, 29. of Aberdeen. 

All three suspects were charged with possession with intent to sell and deliver cocaine, felony possession of cocaine, maintain vehicle/dwell/place controlled substance, possession of marijuana up to ½ Ounce, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana paraphernalia.

Alston was placed under a $40,000 bond and McPhatter and Scott each were given a $15,000 bond.

The suspects have an August 14 court date and are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
