The 74th annual Moore County Agricultural Fair has been canceled due to COVID-19 safety concerns.
The games and rides vendor canceled forcing the fair to call it off this year.
The event held at the agricultural fairgrounds in Carthage has been an annual tradition since 1946.
This is only the second time it’s been canceled.
State Agriculture Commissioner Steve Troxler announced Wednesday that the North Carolina State Fair has been canceled the first time since World War II.
