Academy of Moore students receive Masonic Merit Awards

Two Academy of Moore County students recently received Masonic Merit Awards.

Since 2018, The Academy of Moore County and Roman Eagle Masonic Lodge #550 have established a Masonic Merit Scholarship to recognize fourth and fifth-graders who have demonstrated academic progress during a term.

There are eight winners per year, two per term, sharing the prizes.

Curtis Lovito, Master of the Masonic Lodge in Aberdeen, Taylynn Jenkins, the winner, and Sara Witkowski, her mother.

On Jan 20, 2020, the awards were given to Tru’Vay McRae and Taylynn Jenkins.
