Get ready for “An Evening in Italy” at The Sly Fox in Southern Pines on Jan. 23 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m.
Attendees can expect to enjoy…
Four artisan Italian wines from VDLT, a local importer of small-batch Italian wines. Each wine will be paired with chef-curated Italian dishes. A raffle will be held at the end of the event for an exclusive, vintage Italian bottle.
There will be three raffle winners:
’13 Barolo Reserva ($145)
’18 Monleale Barbera ($85)
’16 Rosso di Montepulciano ($50)
In order to be entered into the raffle, you must purchase three or more bottles. Bottles of wine will be offered at a one-time-only discounted rate.
The curated menu is:
First:
Pacheri and swordfish- jumbo pasta stuffed with swordfish and goat cheese, leek and walnut cream sauce, Cranberry Balsamic, blistered tomato, pecorino Romano, herb crumb
Second:
Porchetta – Cherry agro dolche, wilted Spinach, smoked oregano and white bean ragout, crisped kale
Third:
Porcini and Cherry Grilled Veal Chop- prosciutto chip, Fried Sage, marsala Jus, brown butter gnocci, balsamic cippolini
Fourth:
Coffee and Chili Braised Shortribs- Parmesan Risotto, nduja crumb, tomato demi, basil oil
