The Moore County Sheriff’s Office Animal Services, located in Carthage, is closed to the public for the next few days, according to Sheriff Fields.
The shelter is closed until Jan. 25 due to an employee contracting the coronavirus.
The building is being cleaned and disinfected.
Stray and surrendered animals will not be picked up, but animal service deputies will be available for service calls.
