Moore County Sheriff deputies were dispatched to Union Pines Drive in Carthage at approximately 7:44 am Saturday morning concerning a suspicious death. When authorities arrived, they cordoned off the area, and they started a homicide investigation. The victim is a 63 year old male.
Chief Deputy, Frank Rodriguez, stated, “This is an apparent homicide, and it is not a random act of violence. There is no danger to the public at this time. The Moore County Sheriff’s Department has launched a thorough investigation. The crime occurred on Union Pines Drive just outside of Carthage.”
