Arrest made in stolen car parts investigation

A 42-year-old Pinebluff woman was arrested after the Moore County Sheriff’s Department received a report on March 29 of motor vehicle parts being stolen in Pinebluff.

“An investigation resulted in the identification of a suspect in connection with this incident,” said Moore County Sheriff Ronnie Fields in a news release on Monday.

Investigators arrested Zarah Bittle on May 20 on charges of one count of felony injury property to obtain nonferrous metals, one count felony possession of stolen goods, and one count misdemeanor injury to personal property.

Bittle was placed under a $2,500 bond at the Moore County Detention Center, has a court date on May 26, and is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
