The Aberdeen Police Department is warning residents of a potential COVID-19 phone scam.
The department announced on its Facebook page on June 28 that scammers are posing as representatives from Spectrum.
The person will offer a $50 discount for two years due to the pandemic.
“They will then ask for a method of payment and state that $100 must be paid first,” said the police department.
