The Sandhills Repertory Theatre is proud to bring back home Bradley Gibson, currently starring on Broadway as Simba in “The Lion King”. Gibson, 27, has also been featured on Broadway in “Rocky” and “A Bronx Tale: The Musical,” as well as having starred in the National Tour of “Chicago.”

To accommodate his Broadway schedule, Bradley will perform Mon., Nov. 26 at 7 p.m., in a special one-night-only concert at his alma mater, Pinecrest High School Lee Auditorium. He will sing some of his favorite songs from Broadway and beyond.

Tickets can be purchased at www.sandhillsrep.org. A Limited number of VIP tickets will be available, which include a picture with Bradley post-performance. Bradley Gibson was born and raised In Aberdeen. Bradley graduated from Pinecrest High School in 2009. He attended The Boston Conservatory of Music in Boston, Massachusetts where he obtained a BFA in 2013. Soon after graduating, he made his Broadway debut in the original cast of “ROCKY”, a musical adaptation of the 1976 film, and then traveled the world with the Broadway national touring company of “CHICAGO the Musical”.

From 2016-2018, Bradley played Tyrone in the Broadway musical “A Bronx Tale”.  Along the way, Bradley has done plays Off-Broadway, as well as regional theater performances and concerts across the United States, and appeared on the Golden Globe award winning show “Mozart in the Jungle”.

Currently Bradley can be seen as Simba in Disney’s Tony Awarding Winning musical “The Lion King” on Broadway.

The Sandhills Repertory Theatre’s Executive and Artistic Director, Michael Pizzi, PhD, believes ‘charity begins at home’ and he, along with his board, have established the Sandhills Theatre Arts in the Schools (STARTS) fund.

Theatre arts programs in the Moore County public schools can apply for grants to supplement their theatre programs. This was established because Dr. Pizzi is an occupational therapist and also a professional actor who believes in the power of the arts to transform lives, both as an actor and as an audience member.
