A 47-year-old man and a 46-year-old woman, both from Cameron, are facing several drug charges after being arrested on July 14.
Moore County Probation and Parole was assisted by Moore County Sheriff’s Department in a search of a home in the Cameron area, said Moore County Sheriff Ronnie Fields in a news statement.
James Godfrey and Helen Eldridge-Douglas were arrested after law enforcement found methamphetamine, clonazepam, marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and marijuana paraphernalia in a home in the 1200 block of Highway 1 Business.
Godfrey and Eldridge-Douglas were each charged with possession with intent to sell and deliver methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine, possession with intent to sell and deliver schedule IV controlled substance, maintaining a vehicle/dwelling place for controlled substances, simple possession of schedule IV controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Eldridge-Douglas was also charged with possession of marijuana up to ½ Ounce, possession of marijuana paraphernalia, and she had an outstanding warrant for arrest out of Wake County.
Both suspects were placed at the Moore County Detention Center. Godfrey was given a $2,500 secured bond, and Eldridge-Douglas’ secured bond was set at $3,000.
They are due in court on July 28 and are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
