A bicyclist was struck by a vehicle Wednesday morning.
Southern Pines Fire & Rescue, Southern Pines Police Department, and Moore County EMS were dispatched around 10:00 am to Pee Dee and Midland Road in Southern Pines.
A vehicle hit a man riding his bike by the Knollwood Fairways and Driving Range. The man, believed to be in his 50’s, was airlifted to UNC Hospital and Trauma Center, according to Southern Pines Fire & Rescue Assistant Chief, Ken Skipper.
The man is reported to have life threatening injuries.
Authorities did not release the man’s name, and the accident is currently under investigation.
