Moore County Sheriff’s Office, Moore County Public Safety, and the Southern Pines and Pinehurst Police Departments provided safe passage for Carolina Brotherhood Bike Ride and their honorable cause as the cyclists rode into Moore County on June 12th in remembrance of fallen firemen, police officers, and first responders.

The mission of the Carolina Brotherhood is “to provide emotional and financial support for the families of those who lost their lives in the line of duty from the Carolinas. We build awareness and appreciation of the sacrifice these extraordinary individuals have made, and seek to honor their memory.”

The route the riders take varies from year to year as they cycle across the Carolinas in honor of fallen brothers and sisters.  This years route started in Smithfield, NC on June 12th while arriving in Southern Pines on the same day.  From there the cyclists went to Locke Township, NC, Cowpens, SC, Anderson SC, Columbia, SC, and will end their route on June 17th in Beaufort, SC.
