The Moore County Chamber of Commerce has opened enrollment for Moore County Leadership Institute (MCLI), Class of 2020.

Celebrating its 31st year, MCLI is a comprehensive program designed to create an environment where participants can discover Moore County, expand their professional network, grow leadership skills and serve the community.

Since inception, MCLI has graduated over 500 participants, with a mission to cultivate and connect Moore County Leaders.

Open to all, both Chamber Member businesses and community leaders, those interested in participating in the 2020 MCLI program should visit www.moorecountychamber.com, or contact the Chamber to obtain a copy of the program outline and application requirements.

The MCLI program provides unique leader development skills training, the opportunity to learn about Moore County and discover ways to contribute to the community you call home.

MCLI provides participants the opportunity to grow both personally and professionally through programs offered by community leaders and experts. Participants learn about local history, business challenges, civic issues and community involvement as well as receive targeted leadership development training.

“Effective leaders are open-minded and willing to strive to move forward for a brighter future. The MCLI program helps participants understand the dynamics of effective leadership and decision making,” said Linda Parsons, President and CEO of the Moore County Chamber of Commerce. “Participants study our community infrastructure, analyze their own individual leadership styles, and further develop their communication skills. MCLI challenges emerging and existing leaders in our community to expand their professional network, develop a systemic understanding of how our community works, and examine potential solutions to the important issues that impact Moore County’s future.”

Applications will be accepted through October 1 at 5:00 p.m. There is a $25 non-refundable application fee. Tuition to participate in the 12-month program is $1095 for Chamber Members and $1,350 for general applicants.

The MCLI Program runs January 2020 – December 2020 and includes a two-day retreat, all meals and course materials. All candidates are required to participate in an interview process. Applicants are not guaranteed selection into the program. Notification to all participants will occur in November.
