Registration open for Pinehurst Fire Department Citizens Academy

The Village of Pinehurst Fire Department, located at 405 Magnolia Road, will host the American Heart Association (AHA) Heartsaver CPR/AED Training on Thursday, August 5, from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m.

This heartsaver course is designed for anyone with little or no medical training to be prepared for an emergency.

Registration is now open for the video-based, instructor-led course that teaches adult and child CPR and AED use. Participants will also learn infant CPR and how to relieve choking adults, children, and infants. In order to successfully pass the CPR-AED course, participants will be required to practice and demonstrate CPR skills on both adult and infant manikins.

Please wear comfortable clothing and bring cash to cover the cost of the class. The course fee is $20 and includes supplies and course certification cards. Seats are limited and will be filled in the order that registrations are submitted.
