Deputies arrest two on drug charges in Pinebluff

Moore County Sheriff Ronnie Fields said two people are facing drug charges after being arrested in Pinebluff.

“On April 20, 2023, Deputies with the Moore County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant in the 300 block of Westview Loop in Pinebluff,” said Fields in a press release regarding the drug investigation. “During the investigation, Deputies located cocaine, marijuana, items of drug paraphernalia, and items of marijuana paraphernalia.”

Deputies arrested Trandon Thomas, 41, of Pinebluff, and Aryion Smith, 24, of Southern Pines.

Thomas is accused of trafficking in cocaine by possession, possession with intent to sell and deliver cocaine, felony possession of cocaine, maintaining a vehicle/dwelling place for controlled substances, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was also served with arrest warrants for numerous outstanding drug violations. His secured bond was set at $150,000.

Smith is accused of simple possession of Schedule VI controlled substance and possession of marijuana paraphernalia. She was placed under a $5,000 secured bond.

Both are due in court on May 3 and are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
