Deputies seize heroin, meth, firearm in Carthage

Moore County deputies and Moore County Probation/Parole seized heroin, methamphetamine, a firearm, and drug paraphernalia after a search of a home in the 100 block of Warren Road in Carthage, according to a news release from Sheriff Ronnie Fields.

Steven Singletary, 50, and Elizabeth Ritter, 35, both from Carthage, were arrested on Oct. 12 and are facing several drug charges. 

Singletary was placed at the Moore County Detention Center under a $25,000 secured bond while Ritter was placed under a $10,000 secured bond.

Singletary was charged with possession of methamphetamine, maintaining a vehicle/dwelling place for controlled substances, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of a firearm by a felon.

Ritter was charged with possession of heroin, possession of methamphetamine, maintaining a vehicle/dwelling place for controlled substances, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Both suspects are due in court on Oct. 28 and are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
