Moore County Sheriff’s Department is accusing a Randolph County man of taking indecent liberties with a child.
A Tuesday news release from the department said James Alan Edwards, 31, was arrested by detectives Monday and jailed under a $150,000 secured bond.
The alleged crime took place on October 13, 2017, according to information from the Moore County Detention Center.
The news release said Edwards lives in Archdale, a city outside of Greensboro, and the Moore County Detention Center lists a second residence in Forest City in Rutherford County.
“Anyone with information regarding this or any other case is asked to contact the Moore County Sheriff’s Office Crime Tip Line at 910-947-4444,” said Sheriff Ronnie Fields in the news release.
The release did not provide any other details about the case.
Edwards has a Moore County Superior Court date on Feb. 25 and is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
