A two-car accident left one driver injured, and the other arrested for DWI Wednesday evening. The accident occurred at the Highway 15-501 intersection with Turner Street, across from Cracker Barrel at 8:40 p.m.
The driver of a Honda sedan crashed into a Ford Edge. The collision left both vehicles in the roadway. The Honda suffered heavy front end damage.
The female of the Ford was treated at the scene by EMS and was not transported to the hospital. She suffered minor injuries.
The driver of the Honda, Gerald Bell, was administered a roadside sobriety test and placed under arrest at the scene by Southern Pines Police.
Rockwell Towing arrived on scene to clear the road.
Responding to the scene were Southern Pines Fire & Rescue, Moore County EMS, Southern Pines Police, Aberdeen Police, and Rockwell Towing.
