Emergency crews responded to a report of a car crash involving a pickup truck in Pinebluff Saturday morning. The call came into 911 just before 5 a.m. of a truck that had crashed into trees on Current Street, near the ballfield.

Upon arrival, emergency crews located a black Chevy S10 that had extensive damage.

After a search of the area, the driver could not be located. The truck appeared to have been heading southbound when it ran off the opposite shoulder and slammed into the trees.

N.C. Highway Patrol is investigating the cause of the accident and who was operating the vehicle at the time of the crash. At this time, no details have been released.

Responding to the accident were the Pinebluff Fire Department, Aberdeen Fire & Rescue, Moore County EMS, and N.C. Highway Patrol.
