Eagle Springs resident saves dog from house fire

A home in Eagle Springs was destroyed by fire on Monday afternoon.

The resident of the home on Poor Boy Lane went home for lunch to find it in flames.

The homeowner was able to go inside and rescue a dog that was trapped inside. No one was hurt.

Eagle Springs firefighters were able to put out the fire quickly, however, most of the inside of the mobile home was damaged by the fire.

Investigators are looking into what could have caused the blaze. The American Red Cross will assist the homeowner.

Eagle Springs Fire Department, Seven Lakes Fire Department, and Moore County EMS responded to the scene.
