Eat a peach at Moore peach week events

This year’s North Carolina Peach Festival in Candor, July 13-15, will get an additional boost from neighboring Moore County as the Pinehurst, Southern Pines, Aberdeen Area Convention and Visitors Bureau debuts its inaugural Peach Week celebration.

Peach Week will run July 13-22 and will feature a restaurant week competition, farmers market experiences, support for Bluesfest 2023 at the Sunrise Theater, Peach Night with the Sandhills Bogeys, a Power Cars and Peaches event at the Weymouth Center for the Arts and Humanities, a Peach Week 5k run and much more.

“We are pleased to partner with the state festival in Candor to expand on the celebration of peaches,” says Pinehurst, Southern Pines, Aberdeen Area Convention and Visitors Bureau President and CEO Phil Werz. “As an organization, we are always seeking ways to engage visitors and locals with fun and unique experiences like we have done this with the Year of the Trail initiatives. There’s plenty of things to choose from during Peach Week and we encourage everyone to get out and enjoy as many of these activities as you can.”

The Peach Week restaurant competition includes more than a dozen Moore County dining establishments and breweries offering peach-inspired creations including entrees, desserts, salads, beers, ciders or wine. Participants will be able to vote for their favorites throughout the promotion. Restaurants include Ashten’s, Bell Tree Tavern, Chef Warren’s, Elliott’s on Linden, HomeGrown, Ironwood, Mason’s Restaurant and Grocery, Scott’s Table and Wolcott’s.
