Fayetteville trio arrested in Vass on drug charges

Three Fayetteville people are facing drug charges following a traffic stop in Vass.

“On April 11, 2023, Deputies with the Moore County Sheriff’s Office initiated a traffic stop in the 500 block of Main Street in Vass,” said Moore County Sheriff Ronnie Fields in a press release. “During the traffic stop, Deputies conducted a search of the vehicle. As a result of the search, Deputies located (187) dosage units of oxycodone, fentanyl, and items of drug paraphernalia.”

Isaiah Holmes, 22, Tate Trogdon, 23, and Jamie Cleary, 50, were arrested.

Each suspect was charged with trafficking in opium or heroin by possession, trafficking in opium or heroin by transport, possession with intent to sell and deliver schedule II controlled substance, felony possession of schedule II controlled substance (oxycodone), felony possession of schedule II controlled substance (fentanyl), maintaining a vehicle/dwelling place for controlled substances, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Holmes is also charged with failure to maintain lane control.

All three were placed at the Moore County Detention Center under $75,000 secured bonds. They are due in court on May 10 and are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
