Fire devours abandoned home

Multiple fire departments responded to a two-story abandoned home that was on fire Saturday. The person who called 911 reported flames showing from the home on Dawn Drive in Aberdeen just before 6:30 p.m.

The structure was fully involved with heavy flames when the first units began arriving just minutes after the fire was paged out. Firefighters kept the blaze from spreading to any other homes, but the abandoned home was a total loss.
