Four arrested on drug charges in Vass

Moore County Sheriff Ronnie Fields announced in a news statement the arrests of four individuals following a search in the Vass area.

On March 2, the Moore County Sheriff’s Office deputies executed a search warrant in the 100 block of Cummings Place in Vass.

During the investigation, deputies located methamphetamine, alprazolam, buprenorphine, naloxone, tetrahydrocannabinol, items of drug paraphernalia, and items of marijuana paraphernalia. The search warrant was executed after a drug investigation.

Arrested and facing charges are:

James David Cummings, 64, of Vass:

Charges- possession of methamphetamine, maintaining a vehicle/dwelling place for controlled substances, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Bond: $2,500, secured.

District Court Date: March 15.

Ulises Avonce Lopez, 47, of Cameron:

Charges- possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Bond: $6,000, secured.

District Court Date: March 15.

Tiffany Christine Johnson, 33, of Carthage:

Charges- possession of methamphetamine, maintaining a vehicle/dwelling place for controlled substances, simple possession of schedule IV controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Bond: $12,500, secured.

District Court Date: March 15.

Carolyn Elizabeth Ouida Jackson, 39, of Whispering Pines:

Charges- possession of methamphetamine, felony possession of schedule VI controlled substance, simple possession of schedule III controlled substance, simple possession of schedule IV controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of marijuana paraphernalia.

Bond: $15,000, secured

District Court Date: March 15.

Defendants facing criminal charges are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
