The air is crisp, the pumpkins are plump, the witches are flying, and all manner of mayhem is underway for Sunrise’s Halloween season. Every Thursday leading up to Halloween, the theater will be showing a different spooky classic.
For those of you already trimming the tree, “The Nightmare Before Christmas” is starting the holiday season on October 3 at 7:00 p.m. Bring your little ones and see Tim Burton’s classic charm a whole new generation.
On October 10 at 8:00 p.m., the theater will be showing “Hocus Pocus outdoors.” Bring your kids and your broomsticks for this holiday favorite! Just don’t light any candles.
Buckets of fun will be had on October 17 at 8:00 p.m. when the classic “Carrie” is shown outdoors. Feel the terror as Carrie discovers her true power—all from the safety of the Sunrise Greenspace.
October 24 takes things back inside for “Scream.” The most influential horror movie of its era—by an N.C. writer no less—”Scream” promises to be, well, a scream!
Finally, Sunrise ends its Halloween season on the big day, October 31, with “Halloween.” Spend your holiday revisiting its namesake film.
Tickets are $5 and are available online, through the Sunrise Office, or at the doors thirty minutes before the show.
