Agriculture contributes about $238,413,000 annually to the local economy. To focus on agriculture’s significance to Moore County, its rich heritage, and its promising future, the Moore County Extension Center is excited to partner with the North Carolina Department of Agriculture, the Convention and Visitors Bureau of the Pinehurst, Southern Pines, and Aberdeen Area, the Arts Council of Moore County, local cidery, James Creek Cider House, and other community partners to host Harvest Fest.
Harvest Fest will be a gastronomic celebration of locally produced food and drink from a lineup of some of our county’s best culinary professionals who include Matt Delle of Roast, Matt Hannon of Ashten’s, Savanna Brodar of the Country Cub of N.C., George Figueroa of Tartare, Emily Harris of the Southern Pines Brewing Buggy Factory, and Benito Cortez of Fat Bob’s Tacos.
Six tasting stations will showcase delectable creations created and crafted all from locally sourced ingredients strait off Moore County farms.
And, while your taste buds dance, be entertained with music performed by the Fayetteville Symphony’s Jazz Trio.
Tickets are $48.00/person and include all the food offerings from the featured chefs, two glasses of James Creek ciders of choice, and music for your entertainment.
All in all, Harvest Fest will be a celebration of agriculture and food.
