There is a $20,000.00 reward being offered for information that leads to an arrest!
DeAndre “Papa” Ricketts was 16-year-old at the time of his death when he was shot and killed at a birthday party on Sunday, October 13, 2013. Papa was attending a birthday party on the 800 block of South Bethel Road in Raeford, NC when gunfire erupted around 2 a.m. Hoke County Authorities stated Ricketts was shot to death; no one else was wounded. More than 100 young people were reported at the party.
The Hoke County Sheriff’s Office is now following “new leads” in this homicide investigation. Sheriff Peterkin advises and is encouraging anyone with additional information that will lead to an arrest and conviction, to come forth and contact Captain John Kivett at (910) 878-1216 or (910) 624-5562 reference this homicide. No arrests have been made at this time and the murder investigation is still ongoing.
