Hoke County Detectives were dispatched to the area of Malloy Street near Braddy Road on June 8, 2017 in reference to a reported shooting at 12:33 p.m according to a news release. When detectives arrived at the crime scene, they found Deldrina Chambers wounded from the shooting. The victim was transported by EMS to the hospital with life threatening injuries, and Chambers died the next day.
Hoke County Sherrif Deputies are currently looking for suspect, D’Angelo Cox, and Sheriff Peterkin is advising Cox to immediately turn himself over to authorities. In addition, anyone that is identified in assisting Cox in fleeing from law enforcement will be charged according to the news release.
