A Joint Community Job Expo will be held from 2 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, July 21, at the Dennis A. Wicker Civic & Conference Center, 1801 Nash St., Sanford, N.C.
The Expo will focus on manufacturing and skilled trades. These jobs offer starting salaries from $14 to $30 an hour.
Employers and agencies that plan to participate include Adams Handmade Soap, ADUSA, Arauco, BelFlex Staffing Network, Boon Edam Manufacturing, Bulldog Hose Company Inc., Cashion Fishing Rods, Caterpillar, Central Carolina Community College, Champion Hoist, Chatham County, Coty, Dorman Products, East Coast Firewood, Edelbrock, Express Employment Professionals, Frontier Yarns Inc., Gray Flex Systems Inc., Mertek Solutions Inc., Moen, Moody Dunbar Inc., Mountaire Farms Inc., PalletOne, Pentair, PHC Restoration, Pilgrim’s, PSSI, Sanford Contractors Inc., Southern Veneer Special Products, STI Polymer, Triangle South Workforce Development Board, and Zurn.
Resource agencies will be available for job seekers who need information on childcare, transportation, and other supportive services. Also, free food from onsite food trucks is available to all registered job seekers.
The event is sponsored by Central Carolina Community College in collaboration with BelFlex Staffing Network, Sanford Area Growth Alliance, Triangle South Workforce Development Board, Chatham Economic Development Corporation, Harnett County Economic Development, and Principal Financial Group.
