Know where to go for COVID-19 testing

With the increase in COVID-19 cases, the demand for testing is on the rise.  FirstHealth emergency departments are seeing an increase in patients coming to the emergency department for COVID-19 testing.

“We encourage people to contact their primary care provider, local health department or a FirstHealth Convenient Care Clinic to obtain a COVID-19 test,” said Dan Barnes, D.O., president, FirstHealth Physician Group.  “The emergency department is for those who need emergency care.”

FirstHealth’s nine Convenient Care clinics are open seven days a week from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. The location in Pinehurst (150 Ivey Lane) is open from 8 a.m. to midnight. More information on FirstHealth’s Convenient Care locations:
