Legacy Golf Links, a Nicklaus Designed golf course and one of the most popular golf courses to play in the Pinehurst, Southern Pines and Aberdeen, is celebrating 30 years of being in business.
Legacy has enjoyed stability over the years. The golf course has had one owner since its inception. The Shaw family built Legacy and has owned and operated Legacy for 30 years.
Also, part of Legacy is Legacy Golf Packages that has become one of the largest golf travel companies in the Village of Pinehurst area featuring stay and play golf trips to the Sandhills area.
Legacy has been awarded 4 ½ stars and selected as one of the Top 50 golf courses in the country for customer service by Golf Digest.
Legacy has played host to a USGA National Championship: The Women’s Amateur Public Links. Michelle Wie’s first USGA event.
Legacy’s 18th hole, The Bear, was voted the best finishing hole in the Village of Pinehurst by Pinehurst Magazine.
