Linden Lodge Dog Dash Returns to Pinehurst - Apr. 11

Wind your way through the Village of Pinehurst with your favorite four-legged friend during the fourth annual Linden Lodge Dog Dash, a fun-filled fundraiser benefiting the Linden Lodge Foundation.

Date: Saturday, April 11
Time: 10 a.m.
Location: Tufts Memorial Park, Pinehurst

The leisurely walk begins at Tufts Memorial Park and winds through Old Town Pinehurst, ending at the Pinehurst Village Arboretum, where this year’s Dog Fair will be held. Volunteers will be available to provide rides back to Tufts Park for those who request it.

Participants will receive a swag bag filled with goodies to enjoy along the route. The event will also feature a raffle highlighting local, independent stores, as well as games and prizes at the Linden Lodge table for both people and their pups.

“It’s a great opportunity for people and dogs to mingle,” said event organizer John Purnell. “While we have the word ‘dash’ in it, it is actually a leisurely walk where people get to enjoy the outdoors.”

Registration is $10 per dog, and participants may also walk without a dog. Walk-ons are welcome the day of the event. To register, visit lindenlodgenc.org.

The Linden Lodge Foundation of Moore County provides a safe, supervised residential home for individuals diagnosed with mental illness. Linden Lodge operates 24/7 and offers innovative programs for residents without using federal, state, or local tax dollars.

The organization also hosts a community impact program assisting Moore County neighbors with simple tasks such as yard work and moving heavy furniture. Volunteers are welcome, and donations of household supplies and gift cards are appreciated.
