Michael White, an Investment Associate with the investment firm Dreher Financial Partners in Southern Pines recently passed the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standard’s certification examination and has achieved the Certified Financial Planner professional (CFP®) designation.
Mr. White has been working with Dreher Financial Partners since 2015. Dreher Financial Partners is a state Registered Investment Adviser that specializes in the management of stocks, bonds and No-Load mutual funds for individuals that are retired or nearing retirement.
“I’m excited to have earned the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification,” White said. “I believe it reflects my commitment to providing the highest level of counsel to our clients.”
“As a Fee-Only Registered Investment Adviser, our goal is to provide objective advice to our clients,” White said. “With that in mind, we recognize the importance of coordinating our efforts with our clients’ other professionals to ensure that our clients’ investment strategies reflect the goals of their estate and tax plans.”
The CFP® designation is obtained by completing 6,000 hours of professional experience, completion of a bachelors degree, passing a nine-part curriculum that focuses on Professional Conduct and Regulation, General Principles of Financial Planning, Education Planning, Risk Management and Insurance Planning, Investment Planning, Tax Planning, Retirement Savings and Income Planning, Estate Planning, and Financial Plan Development.
Prior to joining Dreher Capital Management, White worked for a mutual insurance company as a financial planner. He graduated from East Carolina University. He and his wife, Ashley, live in Pinehurst. He currently serves on the board of the Southern Pines Business Association, Moore County School’s Business Advisory Committee, and is a member of the Southern Pines Rotary Club.
