A mother of two from Vass died Saturday evening in a single-car wreck near the Moore-Lee county line.
At Approximately 10:30 pm, Authorities were dispatched to the crash in the 6100 block of South Plank Road. When emergency crews arrived on the scene, they found the victim, Savannah Saunders, age 34, at the bottom of an embankment 50 feet from her overturned Nissan Maxima sedan.
According to Troopers, Saunders was not wearing a seat belt and speed was one of the contributing factors. Saunders died on the scene.
The accident remains under investigation at this time.
