A man died when his Ford Focus hit a semi truck carrying roof trusses Thursday afternoon.
The wreck occurred near the intersection of Roseland Road and South Pinehurst Road in Aberdeen about 3 pm. The car ran a stop sign and the impact of the crash caused the truck to overturn.

Rescue personnel gave the driver of the car CPR; however, the man died after being transported to the hospital. The truck driver suffered minor injuries.
After notifying the next of kin, authorites released the man’s name as Keith Lee Morris, Jr, age 30.
Responding to the scene were Aberdeen Fire & Rescue, Aberdeen Police Department, Moore County EMS, Moore County Sheriff’s Department, Rockwell Towing, and the North Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating the accident.
