Man facing 18 charges after West End search

According to a statement provided by Moore County Sheriff Ronnie Fields, a West End man was arrested on Tuesday and is facing 18 charges. 

“On May 30th, 2023, deputies with the Moore County Sheriff’s Office assisted Moore County Probation/Parole with the search of a residence in the 100 block of Jennet Drive in West End,” said Fields. “As a result of the probation search, deputies found additional probable cause to obtain and execute a search warrant at the same residence.”

During the search, deputies seized fentanyl, cocaine, methamphetamine, marijuana, alprazolam, suboxone, oxycodone, drug paraphernalia, a firearm, and $2,284.

Carl Monroe Jr., 35, is facing charges of possession with intent to sell and deliver schedule II controlled substance- (fentanyl), felony possession of schedule II controlled substance- (fentanyl), possession with intent to sell and deliver cocaine, felony possession of cocaine, possession with intent to sell and deliver methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine, possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana, possession with intent to sell and deliver schedule IV controlled substance- (alprazolam), possession with intent to sell and deliver schedule III controlled substance- (suboxone), maintain a vehicle, dwelling, or place for controlled substance, simple possession of schedule VI controlled substance, simple possession of schedule IV controlled substance, simple possession of schedule II controlled substance, simple possession of schedule III controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana paraphernalia, and possession of firearm by convicted felon. 

The suspect’s secured bond was set at $400,000. He is due in court on June 29 and is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
