Southern Pines Police arrested a man on multiple drug charges and placed under a $150,000 secured bond.

Clark Duvaul Frye Waddell, Jr. was arrested and booked at the Moore County Detention Center at 6:11 pm on Sunday evening on eight counts.

Waddell, Jr., 25, was charged with Possession of Schedule IV Controlled Substance, Possession with the Intent to Sell/Deliver a Schedule IV Controlled Substance, Possession of a Scheduled VI Controlled Substance, Possession with the Intent to Sell/Deliver a Schedule VI Controlled Substance, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Maintaining a Vehicle for Controlled Substances and Resisting a Public Officer, according to a news release from the Southern Pines Police Department.

Police Cheif, Bob Temme, said that Waddell, Jr., also known as Mooks Rasta, reported his residence as an address on Richards Street in Southern Pines, but “intelligence information indicates that he has residence addresses in Fayetteville and Garner”.

Waddell, Jr. is currently on probation in Wake County after being Convicted of Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon. 

According to Temme, Waddell’s past arrest record includes Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, Carrying a Concealed Firearm, Driving While Impaired, Driving with a Revoked License, Felony Probation Violation, Felony Obtaining Property by False Pretenses, Possession of Marijuana, Possession with Intent to Sell/Deliver Marijuana, Felony Possession with Intent to Sell/Deliver Marijuana, Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of Marijuana,Felony Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Sell/Deliver Sale of Marijuana, Deliver Marijuana Felony, Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Sell/Deliver Felony Sale of Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of Marijuana, Felony Obstruction of Justice Accessory After the Fact of a Felony, Possession of Marijuana, Disorderly Conduct Failure to Comply with Community Service.

According to the news release, The North Carolina Division of Adult Correction has been contacted with a request that Waddell, Jr. be charged with violating his probation following yesterday’s arrest.

Late 2016, it is reported that Waddell, Jr. made a negative comment on social media about Temme and what he stands for.

Waddell, Jr. has July 10th court date and is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
