Say “hello” to Chris Perry!
Perry lives in the Woodlake community in Vass with his wife Ashley and their two-year-old daughter.
He has lived in Moore County for four years and said he loves being able to make a quick trip to the mountains or the beach.
“Our neighborhood is full of military,” Perry said about feeling connected to his community.
As a chaplain in the Army, Perry said he has a servant’s heart and so does his wife.
They attend Turning Point Worship Center outside of Aberdeen and are active 24/7, 365 days a year with helping others.
“We emulate what Jesus has given us to do, to love your neighbor, regardless. For me, I hope my actions are Christlike, so they can see Christ through me,” Perry said.
People may see Perry running, biking, or working out on a Saturday before he does his chores. He said he also trains people to reach their fitness goals along with helping others through life.
His life’s motto is from Galatians 3:23, which reads in the New International Version, “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters.”
“My wife says I have a servant’s heart and our lives revolve around helping people,” Perry said. “I have a friend who says I am always helping people and doing too much. My wife makes sure we have balance.”
