fire destroys mobile home

Just before 7 a.m. Monday morning, 911 received a call of a home on fire in the 1800 block of North Moore Road in Robbins. 

According to Robbins Fire and Rescue, they arrived on scene to find the mobile home was 75% involved.

They were able to extinguish the fire without incident. The home was not occupied at the time of the fire. 

Last week, Moore County Sheriff’s Department issued a search warrant at this address and arrested five people on drug-related charges. 

According to Moore County Sheriff’s Office, the fire is not believed to be related to the arrests.

The fire is currently being investigated by the Moore County Fire Marshal. 

Responding to the scene were Robbins Fire and Rescue, Highfalls Fire and Rescue, Carthage Fire and Rescue, Westmoore Fire and Rescue, Moore County EMS, Moore County Public Safety, and Moore County Sheriff’s Office.
