Barbara Venditti (L) and Helen Schillaci, both of Pinehurst, were honored recently by the Moore County Nursing and Adult Care Homes Community Advisory Committee for years of service.
Venditti has 15 years, 12 as the CAC Chairman; and Schillaci has served 10 years.
The Moore County CAC maintains the intent of the Nursing Home and Adult Care Homes Resident Bill of Rights and promotes community involvement and cooperation with these homes to ensure quality of care for older adults.
Committee members visit facilities in Moore County several times a year and report findings to a regional ombudsman so that concerns can be addressed.
