motorist reports mobile home fire

Around 11:45 Saturday night, a motorist called 911 and reported a home on fire on Highway 24/27, near the intersection of Big Oak Church Road about 7 miles outside of Robbins. 

Robbins Fire and Rescue was the first unit to arrive on scene to find flames showing from the mobile home.

Firefighters from multiple departments were able to knock the flames down quickly containing the fire to two areas of the home.

No one was home at the time of the fire. 

The cause of the fire is unknown and is being investigated by Moore County Fire Marshal and the Moore County Sheriff’s Department.

Responding to the fire were Eagle Springs Fire Department, Westmoore Fire Department, Robbins Fire and Rescue, Montgomery County Fire and Rescue (Biscoe Department), Moore County EMS, Moore County Fire Marshal, and Moore County Sheriff’s Department.
